Annalisa Chasan is a ceramic sculptor who also works in mixed media drawing and occasionally printmaking. Her primary influences are objects found in nature: seeds, stones, and bones.
All are vessels; for embedded information, time compressed, mystery, and potential.
She is compelled by the aliveness inside and around these objects.
In addition to making art, Annalisa is a mind-body movement teacher. Her art is influenced by her engagement with the spine and her studies of the nervous system.
